HOW MUCH MEAT SHOULD I BUY FOR A BBQ?

Whenever we plan a barbecue, the big question always comes up: how much meat should we buy per person? To make sure there’s neither too little nor too much (and to avoid fights over the last piece), here’s the foolproof formula:

For a Traditional BBQ

🥩 Adults: 400 to 500 grams of meat per person. This includes cuts like flank, short ribs, skirt steak, etc.
🥩 Kids: 300 grams per person.

If you’re serving meat in sandwiches or there are snacks beforehand, reduce the estimate by about 100 grams per person.

That’s how we do the math—how do you calculate portions for your BBQs? 🔥
